Minimum Qualifications: | Masters degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience: or a bachelors degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience. |
Position Qualifications: | Incumbent must have extensive knowledge of Federal and State laws regulating employment, including recruitment, compensation and classification. Must have knowledge and experience in recruitment, employment, and position classification. Must obtain and retain current knowledge of university policies and procedures. Must have the ability to interpret laws, policies, and procedures and conduct investigations impartially. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive/confidential issues. Must have excellent customer service skills and mindset. Must have the ability to effect change through others and ability to mentor and develop employees and supervisors in areas of responsibility. |
Preferred Qualifications | Minimum three years supervisory experience and five years HR generalist experience. Experience managing recruitment, employment, and classification in a large employment setting. Experience with an HRIS (Banner) and Pageup recruiting software. Experience creating and presenting training programs on Human Resources issues and analyzing compensation. Certification as and maintenance of PHR, SPHR, or CCP. |
