Supervises direct reports and multiple operational areas. Actively seeks out opportunities for process/system improvement and manages implementation. |

Minimum Qualifications: | Masters degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience; or a bachelors degree in an appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate experience. For some positions assigned to this class special qualifications may be added to the minimum such as possession of a State of Florida CPA certificate. |
Position Qualifications: | The incumbent should possess solid managerial and leadership skills, as well as good written oral communication skills and knowledge of significant computer applications. Prior experience should include a minimum of one to three years' experience with governmental accounting functions, a thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, and an understanding of Governmental accounting standards. |
Preferred Qualifications | CPA Certification Preferred. Payroll experience Preferred. Prior Supervision Experience. Experience with higher education or other governmental accounting. |
