Job Summary: | The Senior Coordinator of Residential Student Wellbeing will be a part of the Dean of Students Office, having direct oversight of student support and case management responsibilities for students living in on-campus housing. Duties include: triaging student concerns, helping students problem solve, connecting students to resources on and off-campus, providing basic needs support, responding quickly and appropriately to challenges and/or crises, and providing follow up as necessary. Through formal and informal interactions, the incumbent will meet with students on a daily basis to address interpersonal, behavioral, academic, and wellbeing concerns. This position will serve as the primary point of contact for students, parents/families, faculty and staff regarding residential students of concern. Serves in the Dean of Students Office on-call rotation and will be expected to respond appropriately to student incidents and crises; coordinate emergency protocols and provide crisis management support. They must also collaborate with and make referrals to University offices/organizations to provide broad-based student support while implementing appropriate administrative processes, as needed. |

Minimum Qualifications: | Masters degree in an appropriate area of specialization with one year of relevant experience or a Bachelors degree in an appropriate area of specialization with three years of relevant experience. |
Position Qualifications: | Knowledge of student development theory, knowledge of residence life programs and crisis management techniques. Knowledge of case management practices; record keeping, and attention to detail are expected; organizational and time management skills; and ability to work well with faculty, staff, students, parents, and other applicable stakeholders. Experience developing and assessing student learning and program outcomes. |
Preferred Qualifications | Master's degree in social work, counseling, student affairs administration, or other appropriate degree and at least 1 year experience working in a university setting with experience in residential life. Strong experience working with students in distress, particularly with mental health issues; conflict resolution, interpersonal communication skills and disruptive student behavior. Knowledge of principles and practice with case management, crisis management, basic needs, program development; and event planning; Working knowledge of Maxient. |
