Working Title: | Parking Patroller Specialist |
Job Summary: | Patrollers are primarily responsible for enforcing parking regulations by way of issuing vehicles citations or by attaching vehicle boots. They patrol parking lots and report the existence of hazardous conditions. Patrollers mainly work outdoors and must become familiar with UWF Parking Regulations. Other duties include, but are not limited to: Answering parking-related questions in the office, organizing and issuing parking permits, assisting at the Visitor’s Center, assisting in traffic and crowd control for events on campus, removing and replacing signs, and other parking services related tasks. Renders assistance to motorists as needed. |

Minimum Qualifications: | Ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally. Ability to observe, assess, and record hazardous conditions in parking areas. Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects. Ability to resolve difficult or stressful customer service issues. Working knowledge in basic math skills and calculations. Ability to develop and maintain a working relationship with others. Willingness to learn the aspects of this position and participate in on-going training throughout the duration of your time in this position. |
Position Qualifications: | Must possess and demonstrate excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing. Ability to interact positively with the public creating excellent customer servicer elations in, even in difficult situations. Demonstrate the ability to present ideas logically. Motivated and enthusiastic with strong work ethics. Ability to work independently and in team situations. |
Preferred Qualifications | Prefer candidate with experience in parking services, trolley/shuttle supervision, or closely related background. Prefer basic computer knowledge (email and word processing) Ability and experience to work independently. |
