Job Summary: | The Lead Teacher, Child Development position is responsible for the daily operation of an assigned age group program including pedagogy, classroom management, and direction of support staff. The incumbent is responsible for providing instruction and learning activities in a classroom in accordance with all state requirements including administering the ASQ assessment. The Lead Teacher, Child Development is responsible for one or more room assignments working with child development teachers, teacher assistants, or interns and for planning, developing, and supervising the programs for the classroom and outdoor environments. |

Minimum Qualifications: | Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of relevant experience. |
Position Qualifications: | Completion of DCF 40 hours of mandated child care training. Using computer, copier and scanner; answering phone calls |
Preferred Qualifications | Successful experience as an Infants and toddlers classroom teacher. Familiarity with NAEYC developmentally appropriate curricula for infant, toddler or pre-kindergarten children. |
