Job Summary: | The Fraternity & Sorority Life Graduate Assistant will assist in advising the fraternity and sorority community and implement programs associated with leadership, training, and development. • Provide guidance to one or more of the four governing fraternity/sorority councils: National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), Interfraternity Council (IFC), Multicultural Greek Council (MGC), and College Panhellenic Council (CPC), in conjunction with the Coordinator. • Assist in the implementation of signature FSL and Office of Student Engagement events, workshops, and programs. Including, but not limited to: FSL Kick-Off, Fraternity and Sorority Recruitment/Intake, Monthly Officer Workshops, New Member Institute, National Hazing Prevention Week, Fraternal Excellence Accreditation Program. • Meet regularly with fraternity and sorority chapter presidents and officers and provide information and advice related to FSL and/or institutional policies and procedures, organizational development, goal setting, and recruiting activities. • Counsel FSL students on areas of personal and professional development: time management, conflict resolution, group dynamics, professionalism, communication, team building, and effectiveness. • Assist with risk reduction efforts and education on social event planning. • Lead one all-staff meeting per academic year. • Assist with additional Student Engagement department-wide initiatives as assigned, which may include but are not limited to: Argo Arrival, Club UDub, Convocation, Beach Bash, Argopalooza, FSL Kickoff, FSL Recruitment, Homecoming, CAB Events, CAB After Dark, Family Weekend, Football Tailgates, Student Leadership Awards, SOLD Workshops, Community Service Activities, committee assignments, etc. • Other duties as assigned |

Minimum Qualifications: |
Applicants must be a graduate student at the University of West Florida and pursuing work related to the student’s graduate studies program. |
Position Qualifications: | • Must be enrolled in a UWF graduate program and maintain good academic standing. • Must register for and complete 6 credits of coursework per semester (fall, spring, and summer) or be registered for thesis credit. • Demonstrate ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, written communication and editing skills, project management, and strong analytic and organizational skills with attention to detail. |
Preferred Qualifications | • Prior experience and familiarity with fraternity and sorority life. |
