Job Summary: | Under general supervision of the Production Coordinator, the Event Services Audio Visual Technician is the first point of contact for clients and guests in an event space. This position performs services such as the setup, operation, audio, lighting, video, staging, electrical and/or other technical equipment, and provides high quality, efficient, and effective production of events in and around the University Commons and Event Services. Duties and Expectations: 1. Set up and operate sound, video and stage lighting equipment for events in various facilities both on and off campus. 2. Set up, operate, maintain, and repair audio, visual and technical equipment used to enhance the customer’s experience with programs and events. 3. Assist Production Services Manager in the monitoring of inventory and storage procedures; managing equipment check-out process including but not limited to training, processing of checkout forms, processing access requests, and consulting with organizations and other customers regarding their needs. 4. Consult with appropriate staff to plan weekly work schedules and technical needs for upcoming events. 5. Assist the Production Services team in the research of costs and availability of equipment and supplies. 6. Perform minor repairs and maintenance on equipment, as assigned. 7. Deliver technical equipment to other locations as directed. 8. This position may be required to operate state owned or rented vehicles in the course of departmental, divisional, or university business. 9. Other duties as assigned. |

Minimum Qualifications: |
Applicants must be a student enrolled for credit. Applicants may be a student at UWF or any other college, university or high school. A student enrolled at an institution other than UWF must provide proof of attendance by submitting a registration/fee payment receipt from the school they will attend. |
