Job Summary:

The College of Nursing is building a pool of adjuncts for teaching opportunities for upcoming semesters. Applications will be accepted on an on-going basis. Your application will be reviewed by the School of Nursing. 

Clinical instruction for pre-licensure nursing students in acute care (medical-surgical), pediatrics, and/or mental health settings.

Department Nursing
FLSA: Exempt
Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate field of specialization or equivalent qualifications based on professional experience and otherwise qualified to perform assigned duties.
Position Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field. Experience in an acute care setting, pediatrics, or mental health nursing. Experience supervising pre-licensure students. A clear unencumbered Florida Nursing License.
Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching BSN pre-licensure students in the clinical setting.

  • Physical Requirements: Occasional and/or light lifting required. Limited exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, etc., but none to the point of being disagreeable. May involve minor safety hazards where likely results would be cuts, bruises, etc.
  • Impact of Deadlines: Work schedules, volume of work, or priorities seldom change. Able to anticipate new work. Minimum distractions or interruptions. Seldom involves conflicting demands on time.
