|Job Summary:||Performs circulation desk duties (including, but not limited to, circulating items, supervising desk student(s), dealing with circulation problems, receiving packages, checking phone messages, assisting patrons with locating course reserves, retrieving holds, and checking remote book drops). Assists the Equipment Specialist with equipment maintenance, including imaging, inventory, barcoding, cleaning, and organization of the extensive circulation collection of equipment for students, faculty, and staff. Helps compile data for annual reporting and proposals as needed. Opens the library multiple days a week, occasionally closes the library if needed, and works rotating Saturdays as needed. This position also serves as the primary backup for the weekday and Saturday opening of the library.|
|Minimum Qualifications:||A high school diploma and two years of appropriate experience. Appropriate college course work or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.|
|Position Qualifications:||General library knowledge, familiarity with basic circulation procedures and policies; working knowledge of the library's computer system ALMA; knowledge of Microsoft Office software; customer service skills; conflict resolution skills; ability to multitask and prioritize workload. Assists the Equipment Specialist in the maintenance of the Libraries' circulating equipment, including but not limited to Kindles, iPads, laptops, LCD projectors, and graphing calculators.
