Position Title (Classification Title):  Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice, Movement Sciences and Health 124730
Job Summary: The primary responsibilities of successful candidate will be to teach graduate coursework and/or other courses assigned by the department chair. The candidate will engage in clinical scholarly activity, university and community service, and work with other university departments to recruit students for the graduate Athletic Training program. Additional opportunities may include oversight of the clinical education portion of the program consistent with CAATE standards for the Coordinator of Clinical Education. Additionally, the candidate will facilitate relationships with colleagues within the university and stakeholders at the local, state, national, and international levels as well as a commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion.

Minimum Qualifications: Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, clinical supervision/direction, and service.
Position Qualifications: Candidates must possess a doctorate in Athletic Training, Human Performance, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution. Candidates who are ABD will be considered, however; the degree must be completed within the first fiscal year of employment. Board of Certification (BOC) Certified Athletic Trainer in good standing and eligibility for FL State Licensure, and NPI number is required along with previous clinical practice in athletic training and higher education teaching experience in the areas of athletic training, kinesiology, and/or related fields at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels.
Preferred Qualifications Ph.D. or Ed.D in a related field from an accredited institution with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching and service. A minimum of 5 years of contemporary experience and clinical practice in athletic training. Experience teaching courses face-to-face and online, mentoring students and overseeing clinical education experiences.
