Job Summary: This position will coordinate UWF's new student visit experiences. Duties include the management of the Visitors Center operations, supervision and training of Student Admissions Reps (tour guides), and planning and execution of various recruitment and yielding events throughout the year.

Minimum Qualifications:

Masters degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelors degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.

Position Qualifications: Experience with event planning and working with diverse student groups is preferred. Knowledge of Banner, possession of strong computer skills, and effective presenting and public speaking skills are necessary. The ability to work as a team in a fast-paced environment is a requirement.
Preferred Qualifications Excellent communication skills; experience working as a college orientation leader or campus tour guide; experience supervising student groups; experience with event planning; able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks working in an extremely busy and challenging environment; presenting and public speaking experience to small or large groups; Banner experience; budget management experience
Essential Functions / Job Duties:
  • 40% - Manage Visitors Center operations including; budget management, building supervision, tour registration process oversight, group visit coordination, campus tour oversight and training, and event management. Assess current processes and procedures, and guest experiences to make recommendations for improvements. - (Essential)
  • 20% - Supervise and train Student Admission Representatives. Conduct regular assessments of student performance and provide opportunities for student leadership and professional development. Coordinate student schedules/coverage, approve time sheets and manage budget for student positions. Provide leadership and oversight of the ZeeMee closed social media recruitment platform. - (Essential)
  • 10% - Counsel prospective students and families on admission requirements, educational opportunities, student services and other issues involved with enrollment. Conduct professional, oral presentations for audiences of small groups and families to large groups up to 500+ people. Primary audiences include prospective students and parents, as well as other UWF colleagues. - (Essential)
  • 30% - Assist in the planning and implementation of UWF Admissions visit experiences (both on and off campus). This includes but is not limited to: Daily Campus Tours, Group Tours, VIP Tours, Argo Elite Visits, Open Houses, Admitted Freshman Fridays, Admitted Students Day, Saturday Tours, President’s Scholarship Competition, and National Merit/High Achieving Events. - (Essential)
