Position Title (Classification Title):  Assistant Director 127260
Working Title:  Florida Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) Program Director
Job Summary: Lead a team of government contracting professionals who assist small businesses with government contracting as a growth strategy.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of the statewide PTAC / Government Contracting Services program, including: development of tools and instructional guides for both Florida small businesses and network internal processes.
Facilitation of statewide best practices and relationship management with external parties.
Develops educational materials and presents educational programs for internal and external stakeholders.
Work directly with consultants assisting small business clients with government contracting.
Participate in external government contracting organizations and keep abreast of government contracting best practices and trends.
Develops, delivers and manages program services according to Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) contract requirements and internal SBDC Network policies and procedures.
Defines, develops and maintains appropriate management information systems and administrative processes to satisfy program and federal program documentation and reporting requirements.
Develops and submits quarterly reports and annual program proposals to the DLA.
Manages the program budget and achievement of assigned goals and ensures compliance with standards and guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications: Masters degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience: or a bachelors degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience.
Position Qualifications: Candidate must have an in-depth understanding of federal, state and/or local government contracting policies and procedures. Specific expertise should include:
Strong organizational and prioritizing skills and ability to perform prioritize and perform multiple tasks.
Excellent communication skills, especially related to facilitation, documentation and reporting.
Highly developed interpersonal skills, relationship management, team and leadership skills, and in dealing with the public.
Skill in decision making and problem solving.
Computer software proficiency.
Knowledge of program management principles.
Knowledge of budget development and management principles.
Knowledge of marketing techniques to government agencies.
Ability to build strong professional and personal alliances and networks.
Ability to exercise good judgement in safeguarding confidential or sensitive information and adhere to high standards of confidentiality and honesty.
Ability to read, comprehend and interpret written materials of moderate to complex difficulty, particularly in relation to federal, state and local government contracting policies and procedures.
Funding and operational to program
Preferred Qualifications Professionally recognized certifications in a related field.
Master's Degree in related field.
