About the Role
This opportunity is for an enthusiastic Solicitor to join our high performing Health practice in our Sydney office on a full time basis. Ideally, you will be newly admitted or with up to 2 years post qualification experience with a keen interest in health and medical negligence.
You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of health and medical negligence matters while representing medical and allied health care professionals; including but not limited to coronial investigations and inquests, disciplinary investigations and personal injury claims.
This exciting role will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to be heavily involved in all aspects of the above matters, allowing you to make a significant contribution to their outcome. It is an excellent opportunity to be part of a collaborative team with varied tasks in a fast paced environment. In return you will have the opportunity to gain experience working alongside and learning from our highly regarded Principals.

About You
We are interested in candidates who are motivated and interested to gain experience and insight into our Health law practice area. Ideally, you will have:
- A genuine interest in working in insurance law or litigation ideally in the health and medical negligence space
- Newly admitted or with up to 2 years post admission experience in an Insurance practice, preferably with some health or medical negligence experience
- Ability to work fast and meticulously with high attention to detail
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and be a key member of a busy and close-knit team
- A great work ethic and be keen to learn and develop your career
- A hard working and dedicated approach to your practice
Education
- Completion of a recognised Law degree in Australia
Skills & Abilities
- Demonstrates an understanding of the legal issues relevant to the practice of health law and a demonstrated ability to understand and respond to the commercial objectives of clients
- This role requires an eye for technical detail but also the ability to provide legal advice in a commercial context. The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate clearly with a high level of attention to detail
- Proven ability to build relationships and communicate effectively at all levels of seniority
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to deal confidently with clients directly and foster client relationships
- Time management skills and proven ability to prioritise multiple active matters at any one time
- Capacity to problem solve and think laterally
