Magdalene Catholic College Magdalene Catholic College is a systemic co-educational high school in the Macarthur region within the Diocese Wollongong. Established to support the communities around Camden, Picton, Narellan and the Oaks, the College is now in its 26th year of operation. The College has 1160 students from Years 7-12. The College provides a learning environment which places students at the centre. A temporary part time position commencing 31 January 2025 until 19 December 2025. The successful applicant will be required to teach HSIE classes specialising in Business Studies and/or Legal Studies.
The role of Classroom Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning so that students may reach their full potential.
ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA
- Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
- Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.
- Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning including Business Studies and/or Legal Studies.
- Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in various HSIE subjects.
- Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
- Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents/carers and the wider College community.
DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA
- Aptitude and willingness to actively contribute to the broader life of Magdalene Catholic College whilst supporting the HSIE Faculty and what it offers the College.
- Qualified and enthusiastic to teach various HSIE subjects.
GENERAL CAPABILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS
- Appropriate qualifications for teaching a variety of courses across the HSIE Faculty.
- The applicant must be accredited to teach with NESA.

This role is classified as child related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.
