St Francis Catholic College, Edmondson Park is located near the junction of the M5 and M7 motorways. It is a rapidly growing K-12 school with a student population exceeding 1500 students in 2024. The college is one school, not a traditional primary school and high school coexisting on the same site.  As such, the College is organised into Junior Years Learning (K-4), Middle Years Learning (5-8), and Senior Years Learning (9-12). St Francis is about to complete the 7th Stage of Building Development and offers state-of-the-art learning & specialist KLA facilities.

A permanent full time position commencing 14 October 2024 or as soon as possible. The role of the Classroom Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning so that students may reach their full potential. The successful applicant will be required to teach Mathematics.

ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
  • Create and maintain an orderly, safe, and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.
  • Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
  • Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in Mathematics.
  • Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
  • Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers, and the wider school community.

DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA

  • The ability to teach Religious Education.
  • The ability to teach Mathematics (Stage 6) and/or Mathematics Standard 2.

  • Strong organisational skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Appropriate qualifications for teaching the nominated Key Learning Area (s).
  • Level B Accreditation following the To Work, Teach, and Lead policy or a commitment to gain level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.
  • The applicant must be registered to teach with NESA.

WORKING WITH CHILDREN'S CLEARANCE

This role is classified as child-related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required before your employment with CEDoW.
