About the role
In this role, you’ll collaborate across the organisation to provide strategic and creative urban design expertise, helping deliver growth area and infill projects, precinct structure plans and urban design frameworks that shape the City of Greater Geelong’s future communities.
Work type: Fixed term full time (12 months)
Classification: Band 6 at $98,633.63 pa plus super
Key responsibilities include:

Provide urban design expertise for strategic planning and design projects, precinct structure plans, urban design frameworks and development applications, ensuring high-quality design outcomes are achieved across all scales.

Research, develop and prepare strategies, guidelines, policies and initiatives to support the delivery of premium high-quality urban design outcomes in infill and growth areas.

Produce well-crafted written, visual and verbal briefings, reports and presentations in online, digital and hard copy formats.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have relevant tertiary qualifications in urban design, landscape architecture or architecture and several years’ professional experience in urban design.
Essential Experience:
Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City).
