About the role
In this role, you will support the delivery of building services across permit assessments, statutory compliance and customer enquiries, while developing your professional administration skills. Working alongside a dedicated team you will ensure that a diverse range of technical and administrative functions are delivered in a timely, efficient and accurate manger, whilst maintaining the highest level of customer service and experience.
Work type: Permanent, Full-time opportunity
Classification: Band 5 $81,005.86 pa plus super
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordination and management of the Council Pool and Spa Register including regular mailout of documentation.
- Preparation and submission of regular reporting such as monthly building activity data for the Building and Plumbing Commission, and Private Building Surveyor lodgements.
- Evaluation of Freedom of Information requests and provision of documentation when required.
- Data integrity checking and program of corrections.
- Monitoring current trends and development of web materials to assist in providing proactive customer service.
- Creation and maintenance of work instructions and correspondence across the building unit.
- Participation in ongoing continuous improvement program for a range of key outcomes.

Essential Experience:
- Relevant qualifications and / or experience in office administration
- Well-developed people skills to support, influence, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders.
- Ability for critical and analytical thinking and ability to proactively solve problems
- Adaptable to innovation and improvements with an awareness of change management
- Strong stakeholder management skills, and ability to work with diverse stakeholders to achieve task outcomes.
- Proficient in standard desktop applications, business systems and audio-visual technologies to support efficient work practices.
Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City).
