About the role
Reporting directly to the Manager Marketing, you’ll lead the development and delivery of strategic marketing plans for your portfolio, working closely with the Marketing Office to bring them to life. You’ll create structured, results driven plans with clear objectives that protect and strengthen the City’s master brand and sub-brands across all departments, while ensuring alignment with the Council Plan.
Work type: Permanent, full-time.
Classification: Band 7, $106,158 + super.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver high-impact marketing initiatives that align with departmental goals and drive real results.
- Plan, execute and evaluate strategic marketing campaigns and annual activity plans.
- Manage selected social media channels, creating engaging photo and video content.
- Lead the development and optimisation of portfolio webpages to enhance user experience.
- Coordinate sponsorships, events and exhibition opportunities to maximise visibility and impact.
- Ensure all marketing activity meets governance, regulatory and brand standards.
- Support internal and external communications, including content for emergency and crisis situations.
- Craft compelling content and key messages that elevate City services and connect with the community.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have a relevant tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, public relations or a related field with several years of relevant senior experience working in a similar role.
Essential Experience:
- Strong writing skills with the ability to source and create engaging content.
- Highly organised with excellent planning and time management capabilities.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively to deliver results.
- Experience in marketing roles, with hands-on use of digital tools and platforms.
- Skilled in analysing customer data and metrics to uncover insights and drive improvement.
- Confident communicator with the ability to deliver high-quality advice to senior leaders, facilitate workshops, engage stakeholders, and produce polished reports.
Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check and Working with Children’s Check as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City).
