About the role
In this role, you will coach and/or officiate sporting programs in a safe and inclusive environment, ensuring participants feel supported and respected. You will foster participation and enjoyment across all skill levels, creating a positive experience that encourages confidence, development and ongoing involvement.
Work type: Casual
Classification: Band 2 $43.05 p/h (including casual loading)
Key responsibilities include:
- Various aspects of coaching across various sports and activities relevant to the venue.
- Organising and delivering games/activities in a safe manner and ensure they are age appropriate and inclusive for all.
- Instructing students in Swim Sport and Leisure Services programs.
- Liaising with Programs Coordinator to ensure the smooth and effective running of coaching and instructing programs.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will bring strong communication skills and the ability to engage participants of varying ages and abilities, creating a safe, inclusive and enjoyable environment. You will demonstrate sound organisational skills, a collaborative approach when working with Coordinators and colleagues, and a genuine passion for encouraging participation, skill development and positive sporting experiences.
Essential Experience:
- Working with Children’s Check
- Provide First Aid Certificate
- Relevant Coaching Accreditation. Registration as required.
- Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check and a pre-employment medical assessment as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City).
