About the role
In this role, you will help bridge the gap between technology and the people who use it, supporting both digital transformation and process improvement initiatives across the organisation.

Reporting to the Senior Change Lead, you’ll build on your strong change management foundations to assess impacts, understand stakeholder needs, and ensure individuals and teams are ready for new ways of working. You will work closely with diverse stakeholders, gaining exposure to a wide variety of projects while developing your capability through coaching, collaboration, and hands-on experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assess current-state vs future-state impacts across people, process, and technology.
  • Conduct readiness assessments and provide insights to inform change planning support adoption & user experience.
  • Understand technical solutions and translate them into meaningful change implications for end users.
  • Help shape workflows and user journeys to ensure changes are intuitive and workable.
  • Maintain stakeholder profiles to identify needs, risks, and engagement priorities.
  • Build trusted relationships across the business to surface issues and opportunities early.
  • Contribute to development of change, communication and engagement plans.
  • Provide recommendations and timely escalation of risks, issues, and blockers.
  • Conduct training needs analysis to identify required skills, behaviours, and knowledge.
  • Support scheduling, logistics, and readiness activities for training delivery.
  • Draft and develop clear, engaging messaging and materials to support change activities.
  • Prepare and deliver stakeholder presentations, updates, and briefings.
  • Monitor and track feedback via pulse checks, lessons learned, and adoption metrics.
  • Use insights to refine change and training approaches

About you
You are a proactive Change Analyst who enjoys working with both people and technology. You’re curious, collaborative, and comfortable navigating complex environments with competing priorities.

You bring a solid foundation in change analysis, with experience supporting digital or process-led transformation. You enjoy understanding how things work, exploring user needs, and turning insights into practical, people-centred solutions.

You build strong relationships, communicate with clarity, and take pride in producing high-quality work. You’re eager to learn, contribute to meaningful outcomes, and grow your capability in a supportive and connected team.

Essential Experience:

  • Experience as a change analyst supporting organisation-wide or digital transformation initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to assess and support people, process, and technology change - eg, system implementation, process improvement, or service redesign
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work confidently with a broad stakeholder base
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear insights
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and contribute to high-performing teams
  • Experience in developing and delivering training materials (desirable)
  • Familiarity with local government or public sector environments (desirable)
  • Understanding of change management principles and how they support digital and process-driven transformation
  • Ability to analyse current-state vs future-state processes, identify impacts, and support practical adoption
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills, with attention to detail when managing data, inputs, and documentation
  • Advanced skills in using Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and database systems for data and information analysis.

Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City).
