About the role
As a Shift Supervisor, you'll be the go-to leader on shift, ensuring smooth daily operations of our facilities. From supervising lifeguards and fitness staff to resolving patron issues and supporting plant operations. You'll play a critical role in ensuring our centres run efficiently and our community has a great experience, every time. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the centre
  • Supervise and support staff across aquatic, reception, and program areas
  • Monitor pool plant operations and water quality (at aquatic sites)
  • Respond to incidents and emergencies as the Chief Warden on shift
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and community engagement
  • Support internal promotions, events, and tours
  • Maintain high operational and safety standards across the centre

 

About you

We’re looking for proactive and energetic leaders with: 

  • Experience supervising in a leisure, recreation, or aquatic environment 

  • A proactive, customer-first approach 

  • Strong team leadership and decision-making skills 

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and remain calm under pressure 

  • Confidence using admin systems and point-of-sale tools 

Essential Experience:

  • Pool Lifeguard Certificate (aquatic venues)
  • First Aid and CPR
  • Working with Children Check
  • Pool Operators Certificate (desirable)
  • Barista, Food Handling or RSA (a bonus!)
  • Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check and a pre-employment medical assessment as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City).
