About the role
In this role, you’ll partner with key stakeholders, program teams, and business service owners to define, plan, and scope business and technology changes, ensuring seamless alignment between business needs and technology platforms. You’ll bring expert skills in business analysis, process design, and requirements management, collaborating across teams to drive the program’s strategic objectives and deliver lasting impact.

Work type: 3 year fixed-term contract
Classification: SPL Commencing at $148,599 + super

Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver expert business analysis across multiple projects, applying best-practice frameworks to support systems and process improvements within the program.
  • Capture, document, and manage clear functional and non-functional requirements, including well-defined acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate user needs into precise, actionable user stories.
  • Partner with process owners to analyze current workflows, uncover inefficiencies, and recommend improvements.
  • Analyze integration needs by documenting business processes, system specifications, and data flows to guide solution design.
  • Lead and enhance requirements management and traceability, ensuring alignment between requirements, design, development, and testing for quality and compliance.
  • Facilitate and manage requirements workshops, fostering clear communication and collaboration to meet project and program goals.
  • Serve as the key liaison between business leads, project managers, and system integrators to prioritize and align business needs with program objectives.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have a tertiary qualification in IT, Business, or similar fields with significant professional experience in a comparable organisation.

Essential Experience:

  • Significant Professional Experience in Business Analysis
  • Demonstrated experience across large scale projects and programs in a comparable organisation.
  • Practical experience with the use of business process methods e.g Lean, Six-Sigma.
  • Working knowledge of Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK), Agile delivery, and Prince2 project management methodology
  • Experience on high profile projects or programs with multiple enterprise wide integrated and inter-related systems
  • Effective people leadership and teamwork skills to support an environment for high-functioning, productive and engaged teams to operate.

Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check and a Working With Children's Check as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City).
