About the role
In this role, you will support the Coordinator Place Activation and team to deliver place-based outcomes through developing and implementing place visions and plans.
Work type: Permanent Part Time (38 hours per fortnight)
Classification: Band 5 Commencing at $78,646 pa plus super pro rata
Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver quality customer service by understanding customer expectations and prioritising work based on customer requests.
- Balance the needs of different key stakeholders to ensure task priorities are met.
- Support in the development and implementation of a place vision and activation strategy for central Geelong and key local activity centres in Greater Geelong.
- Be open to change and development; Set and work towards achieving agreed professional development goals.
- Support the delivery of activities aligning efforts with the department goals to meet business and customer needs.
- Effectively manage activities and provide accurate information, data, and documentation to resolve queries or aid decision-making.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have a tertiary qualification in urban design, business management, project management, or other relevant discipline, or professional experience in placemaking, events or project management or other relevant fields in a comparable organisation.
Essential Experience:
- Skills in placemaking, tactical urbanism, place management, community engagement, economic development, project delivery and implementation, event delivery, public realm strategies and policy and or urban design.
- People skills to support, influence, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders.
- Well-developed communication - written and verbal skills.
- Proficient in problem solving.
- Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City).
