About the role
As the Senior Talent Acquisition Partner, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our workforce. Acting as a trusted advisor and expert coach to People Leaders, you’ll empower them to make values-aligned, inclusive hiring decisions while building leadership and recruitment capability across the organisation. This role combines hands-on recruitment for senior roles with strategic project delivery and workforce planning. You’ll work closely with People & Culture’s Centres of Excellence to deliver targeted, data-driven talent solutions that support the City’s evolving needs.

Classification: Commencing at $118,486.16 pa plus super
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for a designated portfolio and senior-level roles, delivering high-quality candidate and stakeholder experiences.
- Provide expert hiring advice and coach People Leaders in inclusive, values-aligned decision-making while offering specialist recommendations aligned with the City's People and Culture goals.
- Design and implement innovative recruitment campaigns and future talent strategies to attract diverse, high-quality candidates.
- Leverage data and insights to enhance talent decisions, improve workforce planning, and align initiatives with the City's People and Culture Strategy.
- Mentor and support the Talent Acquisition team while acting as 2IC to the Coordinator, Talent Acquisition.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have qualifications and experience in business, human resources, or a similar field.
Essential Experience:
- Proven success and experience in the development of recruitment campaigns to achieve organisational People & Culture goals.
- Knowledge and proven experience in recruitment in a complex and often challenging environment.
- Demonstrated experience in project management in particular recruitment system implementation.
- Proven ability to lead and effectively collaborate with senior stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
- Highly developed interpersonal and representation skills, with the proven ability to build effective relationships and communicate with a diverse range of people internal and external
- Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City).
