About the role:
The area of responsibility is within Geelong's prime tourist destination the Central Geelong & Waterfront Precinct. The person in this position undertakes works, co-ordinates staff and resources to ensure that the Waterfront Precinct is maintained in a safe and pristine condition for visitors and residents of Geelong.
Work type: Permanent Full Time
Classification: Band 4 Commencing at $71,647 pa plus super
Key responsibilities include:
- Implementation of maintenance systems and operational procedures relating to the precinct.
- Undertaking inspections of works, estimating and determining that all tasks are accomplished efficiently and effectively to the required standard. Weekly audits of the precinct to establish work schedules and tasks.
- To keep accurate records, reporting on programs and completing checklists. To ensure all plant/asset checklists are accurate and completed by staff.
- Undertake recorded weekly toolbox meetings with staff.
- To direct and allocate the day to day and weekly duties of staff and to prioritise tasks based on risk and the programming of Waterfront events and activities.
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Trade Certificate in Horticulture, Landscaping or Turf Management or extensive relevant experience.
- Current Victorian Drivers Licence.
- Working with Children Check.
- Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check and a pre-employment medical assessment as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City).
