About the role
In this role, you will coordinate staff in the delivery of day-to-day operations within our Leisure Services unit in a clean, safe, and customer-friendly environment. You will be responsible for planning and implementing project-based tasks related to Reception, Sales, and Customer Service activities and programs.
Work type: Permanent Full Time
Classification: Band 5 $76,355.79 - $86,617.32 pa plus super
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the development, coordination, and evaluation of Reception, Sales, and Customer Service activities.
- Assisting in the strategic development of processes and procedures.
- Providing administrative support for leisure staff.
- Overseeing the centre’s day-to-day operations in consultation with other Leisure Coordinators.
- Ensuring compliance with all Council policies and procedures.
- Performing additional duties as required.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have…
- Tertiary qualification in recreation service delivery or several years of experience in a related field.
- Level 2 First Aid Certificate.
- Pool Lifeguard Award.
- Current Working with Children’s Check.
- Current Victorian driver’s license.
- Proven experience in leadership and team coordination.
- Strong planning, implementation, and evaluation skills for innovative procedures.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Web tools).
Desirable Experience:
- Experience in program development and delivery.
- Familiarity with other software applications.
- Austswim Certificate (advantageous).
- Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check and a pre-employment medical assessment as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City).
