About the role
This role requires you to be a multi-skilled person, who is passionate about community safety and able to consistently deliver to a high standard. You will focus on delivering efficient and effective administrative assistance, with a strong emphasis on customer service for both internal and external stakeholders.
Work type: Temporary Full Time (12 months)
Classification: Band 5 $76,355 - $86,617 pa plus super
Key responsibilities include:
- The provision of accurate, efficient and effective project/administrative support for the EM Unit.
- Undertake complex document management and version control in a systematic and organised manner.
- Assist in the establishment, development and maintenance of systems and procedures used within the unit.
- Provide support to all committees, sub committees, working groups and teams by scheduling meetings, taking and distributing minutes.
- Assist the Municipal Emergency Management Officer (MEMO) as required. Pro-actively maintain positive relationships across internal council functions and external stakeholders (eg CFA)
About you
The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience in a high-level Administration role, strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. You will be confident in liaising with a diverse range of people, be adaptable, solutions focused, have high levels of resilience and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Experience:
- Previous experience in an administration based role.
- Experience in the development and maintenance of databases, complex document control and advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications.
- High level of organisational skills.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Emergency Management and how this applies to Local Government under the Emergency Management Act and the State Emergency Management Plan (SEMP) is highly regarded.
