About the role
In this role, you will provide exceptional administration support within a team environment, utilising your well-developed analytical, investigative, problem-solving skills.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist with the investigation and evaluation of subdivision/development/use applications within a team environment.
  • Assist with the issue of town planning permits within the team to provide a coordinated responsive service delivery.
  • Assist with the coordination of input from various government departments and the general public to meet deadlines as set.
  • Prepare correspondence in relation to Council decisions and enquiries from the public.
  • Provide clients with a professional and up to date advisory service and assist the public with enquiries.
  • Assist the public with advice and assistance associated with the preservation, renovation and maintenance of heritage buildings within the City.
  • Establish positive communications with clients and the general public and educate and promote the need for adherence to the various statutes, legislation, local laws and policies.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated administration experience and highly developed computer skills.

Essential Experience:

  • Well-developed analytical, investigative, interpretative and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively plan, organise and manage own time to achieve targets within a set timetable.
  • Ability to manage change and be innovative.
  • Some town planning experience is highly desirable.
  • Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City).
