ETST 101 introduces the field of Ethnic Studies as an interdisciplinary study of racial-ethnic discrimination experienced by aggrieved populations, historically and contemporarily. Subjects include contact and conquest, colonialism and imperialism, racism, resistance and empowerment within a domestic context primarily. ETST 101 fulfills the Subject Area 6 (formerly Area F) General Education Requirement, i.e. the CSU Ethnic Studies Graduation Requirement.
