Job Overview

The Department of Psychology is accepting applications for Unit 11 Graduate Assistant positions for the Fall 2026.

Under immediate supervision, the Graduate Assistant assists a regular faculty member or the teaching staff with various professional and technical duties associated generally with the subjects or programs in which the assistant is doing graduate work. This work should not take precedence over the successful completion of the graduate degree program by the student in a timely manner.

General Requirements of the Position:

  • Ability to learn and perform assigned work
  • Ability to work cooperatively with faculty, staff and other students
  • Ability to accept responsibility
  • Must be a current Graduate Student at CSUSM 

General Minimum Qualifications of the Position:

  • Admission or registration as a CSUSM student

Anticipated Pay Rate

  • Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $3408-$6072 CSU Classification Salary Range: $3408-$6072.

The anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, commensurate with education and experience.

CSU policy limits work assignments to no more than 20 hours in a week in all campus positions combined while students are in session.

Application Timeline 

Applications are accepted and reviewed as needed. Applications will be reviewed starting July 17, 2026. All positions are subject to enrollment/registration as a CSUSM student and funding.
