Position Description

Job Overview

The Laboratory and Information Technician in the CEHHS will work closely with the Kinesiology Laboratory Coordinator and the Nursing Simulation Technician to provide comprehensive technical support for all state-funded laboratories and simulations across the College. The position also provides support for the College website including regular updates and maintenance/troubleshooting as needed. Specific responsibilities include: providing technical knowledge and support of lab equipment; directing and training student assistants; routine repair and maintenance of laboratory equipment; researching and acquiring laboratory supplies and equipment; preparing for and overseeing select laboratory courses; and working with Safety, Risk and Sustainability Services (SRS) to maintain safety requirements in compliance with University, State and Federal regulations.

Position Summary

Laboratory and Information Technician (Instructional Support Technician II)

This is a full-time, non-exempt position, which will lead toward permanent status following the successful completion of a probationary period.

Pay, Benefits, and Work Schedule

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $4,608 - $5,421 per month

CSU Classification Salary Range: $4,608 - $7,998 per month

Salary is commensurate with the background and experience of the individual selected.

This position is eligible for a broad range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances, retirement (CalPERS), tuition waiver, vacation and sick leave. In addition, 14 paid holidays are offered each year; 13 scheduled on specific days and a Personal Holiday that may be taken any time during the year.

This position is required to work in person on campus.
