JOB SUMMARY:
The Restoration and Corrosion Mitigation Lead position requires a complete understanding and extensive knowledge of the job field to maintain a successful team. The role supports management in directing and coordinating the activities of maintenance personnel. Routinely provides feedback to management on personnel issues and performance. Actively supports and implements daily/weekly/monthly planning and scheduling. Ability to multitask and use basic problem-solving skills. Actively promotes, engages in and maintains positive working relationships with other departments and shifts in supporting department activities by performing duties assigned. Frequent use of High Reach is required to complete most tasks.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plans and delegates work tasks. Delegates work assignments among qualified crew members. Communicates performance expectations to ensure proper completion of tasks. Communicates and coordinates with other departments or crafts as needed. Communicates resource needs and work plans to supervisor. Provides two-way communications between the work team, the Supervisor, other management and HR personnel.
- Actively reinforces company safety guidelines and programs, reports non-compliance. Monitors employees’ productivity, work habits. Leads work startup and stoppage & schedules breaks. Monitors care, condition, use and storage of tools, equipment and other UO property. Maintains material inventories. Monitors compliance with wardrobe/grooming standards, driving policy, radio usage, and other UO policies.
- Ensures proper completion of documentation, including providing feedback for recognition and performance improvement. Captures written behaviors using the Lead Observation Report to support managerial and supervisory documentation.
- Maintains and shares job knowledge, assists in training by developing new and current employees
- Providing work documentation in Maximo Labor Reporting, Logbook entries, and Completing Work orders
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- High school degree or GED required.
- Technical school preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- 3+ Years: Experience in theme painting and air brush painting.
- Color matching and blending of new to existing finishes is necessary
- Preferred – 5-7 years proven experience in a similar work environment dealing with critical paint issues.
- Knowledge of all phases of paint.
