JOB SUMMARY:
Assists with the management of Health Services. Provides supervision and direction to the Health Service Supervisors and ensures the successful daily staffing of the department and of special events.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the supervision and evaluation of all supervisors and department scheduler. Assists in preventing/resolving operational and team member relations issues. Encourages and mentors the development of their team to help enhance/improve job performance and team member satisfaction. Assist in the evaluation and development of department policies and procedures.
- Responsible for overseeing the department master schedule, staffing plans, budgets, and event planning.
- Ensures that all team members attend all mandatory training classes. Oversees department hiring and training initiatives.
- Assist with the implementation of the strategic plan for the enhancement and improvement of TSATS.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
SCOPE:
This position will oversee 6 Health Service supervisors. Collaboration and communication with other departments and divisions such Entertainment Operations, Event Operations, Security, Legal and Marketing and operations will be key to success in this position. Ensures team members receive mandatory training, OJT is complete and verifies team member job readiness, and team member licenses and certifications are current and valid.
EDUCATION:
- High school degree or GED required.
- Technical school required if candidate has Paramedic License.
- Associate’s degree (AA) required.
- Or equivalent from two-year college or technical school. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- 2-5 years ER/Ambulatory or pre-hospital management experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Florida RN or Paramedic, Driver’s license, Basic and Advanced Life Support required.
- Theme Park experience preferred.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Strong communication skills and the ability to function in a fluid environment are required.
- Familiarity and prior exposure to standard and multi-faceted entertainment offerings preferred.
