JOB SUMMARY:

Provides the Technical Skills needed for the successful operation of an assigned Entertainment venue, project or event to ensure show quality and a positive guest experience.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible to assist with the operation of the lighting equipment within the assigned venue or event including but not limited to the operation of lighting in a live show situation.  Uses troubleshooting and taking of direction for completion of team objectives in assembly of gear and checking equipment.
• Responsible for the appropriate installation, setup/storage and maintenance of lighting equipment.
• Using basic knowledge of electrical theory and calculation.
• Accountable for assisting in maintaining venue or event specific inventory of all technical equipment.  Accountable to strictly adhere to all policies and procedures, as defined by the Entertainment Department, governing the safe operation of all technical equipment and pyrotechnic devices within the assigned venue or event.
• Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: 

• High school degree or GED is Required.

EXPERIENCE: 

• One to three years’ experience within the professional theme park/theater industry in a technical capacity preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
