JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the Leadership and ongoing development of the Talent Development team(s) providing impactful learning experiences and resources to build individual, team and operational competence across Universal Orlando Resort. Is a strategic partner who leads their teams and assists their business partners in identifying barriers/root causes to performance opportunities and recommends and executes targeted business solutions for improvement. Partners to create and facilitate resulting curriculum and interventions as dictated by thorough needs assessment, aligned with business needs.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leads team providing consulting services. Works closely with senior business leaders to identify gaps in productivity, performance and service while recommending targeted business solutions to build individual and team competence – to include building impactful programs/processes that promote partnership, increase business performance, Team Member satisfaction and brand essence while establishing and tracking key performance metrics for success.
- Partners and solicits assistance from fellow Talent Development Leaders/teams and other applicable support departments when needed to ensure high levels of effectiveness and efficiency in the execution of programs and interventions.
- Leads team responsible for the administration, tracking, design and delivery of synchronous and asynchronous training and development programs, in the areas of operational based competence for various levels and introduction to the company and company culture at Universal Orlando.
- Maintains key training related metrics, dashboards, LMS, Systems and Administrative functions to ensure effective planning, strategy and communication of ongoing training needs and impacts to various levels of the organization.
- Partners and supports client with special events and inititatives.
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Business, Education, Instructional Design or related field required.
EXPERIENCE:
- 5 to 7 years experience in training required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience providing adult education programs in a theme park or hospitality environment with delivery at various levels; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
