Universal Horror Unleashed is a terrifyingly unique experience that will bring haunts to Las Vegas year-round. Located at Area 15 is the heart of horror – we would love to have you haunting alongside us! With the nature of this experience comes a unique working environment. You will find yourself working in dark environments around special effects including strobe lights, fog, artificial smells, and more. The working hours will be unique, typically spanning over late evenings/nights and weekends (holidays included). JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the maintenance of the venue within Universal Horror Unleashed (UHU). Completes installations, routine/preventative maintenance and repairs as assigned to ensure show quality and positive Team Member and guest experience. Ensures safety of self, guests, and other Team Members by taking proper safety precautions, following both state and company specific standards. Provides installation and repair assistance for any Team Member work areas such as furniture, cubicle partitions, doors, etc., ensuring proper installation and repair from a safety and design perspective.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serves as key Technician for venue related maintenance at Universal Horror Unleashed. Acts as the first line of support for necessary daily repairs. Completes and coordinates installation, repairs, service, and maintenance on numerous venue equipment and Team Member work area services including but not limited to drywall, interior walls, wood decking, framing, painting, furniture, doors, commercial hardware, fixtures, cubicle partitions, restroom stall doors, etc. Equipped to handle various tasks and projects to ensure the timeliness and completion of tasks.
  • Installs, maintains and makes repairs on venue equipment as designed to ensure safety standards and proper daily operation. Consistently provides routine/preventative maintenance in efforts to minimize the number of major repairs required, escalating to Technical & Show Management to address any major venue concerns.  
  • Executes any assigned preventative maintenance work orders assigned by Technical Leads and Supervisors as required to uphold show and safety quality standards set by Entertainment and Technical Management. Provides data entry into Maximo and UHU tracking system, logging of preventative maintenance inspections, corrective actions and/or repairs made while listing parts required implementing the repairs.
  • Responsible for effectively communicating necessary repairs to Technical & Show Management requiring coordination of services from contracted technicians for major maintenance and repairs including but not limited to plumbing, HVAC, fire alarms, electrical, restaurant equipment, etc. Completes necessary reporting through the proper systems including Maximo to ensure effective communication between shifts as well as with Technical Management and the Technical Coordinators.
  • Troubleshoots system failures and defective components and provides immediate and long-term corrective actions that will improve operation reliability and safety. Coordinates the repair process as necessary, referencing of technical drawings/manuals and equipment specifications. Tracks history of past failures and solutions with 3rd party Vendors of major maintenance and repairs following Universal policies and procedures.  
  • Maintains basic working knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, fire alarms, and other venue systems, staying up to date with industry standards and state requirements. Completes all company mandated training and maintains any state required license renewals.   
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Any required local and state certifications including OSHA 10. 

EDUCATION

  • Associate’s degree in related field is preferred.  

EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years of venue maintenance experience is required, 1+ year of experience within the professional entertainment or themed entertainment industry is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
