JOB SUMMARY
Oversees all Food & Beverage, Culinary, Catering, Merchandise, and Warehouse teams at Universal Kids Resort. Manages leadership responsible for day-to-day food and merchandise operations within the theme park. Establishes and oversees the planning and execution of annual accountabilities and objectives for the division while regularly partnering with other Universal Kids Resort departments and across Universal Destinations & Experiences (UDX) Revenue Operations teams as well as alignment with UDX policies and procedures. Oversees all Guest Satisfaction (GSAT), Team Member Satisfaction (TSAT), safety, and financial aspects of Revenue Operations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages and directs daily operation of the business through division management team with a focus on staffing, revenue and margin generation, controls and performance. Drives the development of management team through formal and informal training and role modeling. Develops Team Member Satisfaction (TSAT) action plans and implements. Provides leadership, coaching, and mentoring to achieve maximum results and empower the management team to drive and make decisions. Creates a culture that is supportive and respectful to support a positive environment. Partners with Human Resources to manage concerns and issues in a timely manner and to resolution.
- Responsible for the overall Guest and Team Member experience, communication of goals and expectations, and ensuring operating and safety standards are maintained. Interacts with Team Members, guests and key partners, monitors equipment and infrastructure needs, generates growth and efficiency objectives and plans. Responsible for adherence and interaction with applicable regulatory agencies and requirements.
- Develops and leads vigorous efforts to achieve or exceed budgeted financial goals. Consistently analyzes financial performance and adjusts the operation as necessary, responding reasonably to existing conditions while controlling costs. Develops and drives planning of new business opportunities, focusing on trends and changes in the market. Develops and manages 3rd party concessionaire opportunities, where applicable. Directs budgeting process and daily management of budgets, analyzing fluctuations in business units and instituting changes/enhancements as necessary. Partners across Universal Kids Resort including F&B management of the hotel and across Universal Destinations & Experiences (UDX) to create synergies for company goals and increased revenues. Develops long-range capital plans and manages annual capital requests. Provides leadership and strategic oversight for initiative management, ensuring on-time/on-budget development and implementation.
- Collaborates with merchandise buying group to develop new product assortments. Develops and implements the overall Merchandise strategy to maximize financial performance throughout property, while also optimizing the guest experience.
- Leads strategy around Food & Beverage projects/programs, support new concepts, corporate sponsorship, menu collateral, IP approvals, technology, and sustainability. Develops and is primarily responsible for resort-wide food safety and sanitation program. Guides culinary leadership regarding menu planning and analysis
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities (KSAs) required.
- Knowledge of food safety, store planning/layout, revenue generating strategies, ADA, and OSHA standards preferred.
- Certified Professional Foods Manager (CPFM) preferred.

EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Retail Management, Food & Beverage Management, Communications, Business Administration or Hospitality preferred.
EXPERIENCE
- 10+ years Revenue Operations experience in Merchandise/Retail and/or Food & Beverage with 3 or more years leadership experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Theme park or themed attraction experience preferred.
