Lead Attendant, Park Services Warehouse

JOB SUMMARY: Oversees the daily operation of the Park Services’ warehouse.  Performs a variety of duties in the receiving, handling, inventorying, and delivering of consumable and non-consumable products. Verifies proper usage of chemicals and supplies while making sure departmental safety standards are met.  Maintains a positive environment for internal guests and Team Members by providing work direction and feedback to Park Attendants. 

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receives delivered supplies, materials, and equipment; confirms that delivered goods match purchase order specifications of quantity, condition, model number, etc. Operates indoor forklift, pallet jack, and/or dolly to properly organize and maintain warehouse and cage areas for efficient material storage and handling; maintains labeling system; manually stocks inventory shelving with stock items received or returned. Prepares product orders for delivery/pick-up for both department and Interdepartmental Transfers (IDT). Completes all necessary paperwork and online data entry for all items moving through the warehouse. 
  • Oversees the daily laundry processing and departmental product deliveries by warehouse support attendants. Verifies appropriate quantities of mops and rags are in circulation and laundry is completed by end of shift.  Ensures product deliveries are completed accurately and timely, communicating with requesting teams any variations in quantities delivered. Provides work direction to support attendants to ensure Standard Operating Procedures are upheld and all equipment is operated within the appropriate safety guidelines. Ensures that any safety related issues are reported in a timely manner to the Supervisor on duty.  
  • Conducts weekly on-hand monthly physical inventory counts. Inspect satellite closets throughout the resort, working with area Team Leaders to identify proper stock levels and proper condition of the materials to be stored. Works with Coordinator to ensure non-consumable equipment purchases are received in the warehouse, requesting management notified, and equipment delivered/retrieved in a timely manner. 
  • Communicates performance, behavior standards, and expectations. Monitors performance of Team Members to ensure policies and procedures of the department are followed. Ensures that Team Members are wardrobe compliant and that established service, safety, and show quality standards set by the department are maintained. Provides feedback for recognition and coaches performance improvement utilizing the Lead Observation Report and verbal communication. Reports behavior requiring discipline and further documentation to the management team. 
  • Provides work direction to Team Members including – but not limited to – scheduling break and lunch periods. Provides injury prevention training to all Team Members. Conducts daily shift meetings and/or safety spot talks. Aids in the dissemination of general company and area specific forms of communication to include current and new company policies and procedures. Responsible for updating communication boards in area. Gives careful consideration to the impact of decisions and makes timely decisions to solve problems with a sense of urgency. Effectively acts to satisfy and resolve the needs of the guests and the Team Members. Raises concerns and shares pertinent information with the management team. 
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: High school degree or GED preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Employed with UO for Three (3) Months; Previous Park Services/Custodial experience preferred. Knowledge of computerized inventory control system preferred; 1+ year experience in forklift operation preferred; previous leadership experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid Florida Driver’s license required.
