This Opportunity
The Lecturer will contribute to the delivery and ongoing development of the Bachelor of Exercise Science/Master of Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology program, with a particular focus on cardiorespiratory and acute hospital physiotherapy. The role will involve teaching, curriculum development and student support, while also contributing to areas such as clinical practice across diverse populations and neurological and chronic conditions.
Working within a collaborative academic environment, the Lecturer will support innovative, evidence-based teaching, foster an inclusive and engaging learning experience, and contribute to continuous improvement, professional engagement and student success.
Key skills and experience required:
- A PhD in a related discipline, and/or relevant work experience;
- Registration with AHPRA as a physiotherapist in Australia.
- Demonstrated clinical experience within the industry, specifically related to cardiorespiratory or acute hospital care.
- Actively stays up to date with discipline knowledge and professional development
- Demonstrated experience in teaching and learning design, development and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level, specifically related to cardiorespiratory or acute hospital care.
- Experience using and/or designing with educational technologies and online delivery methods
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence (e.g. relevant discipline-based curriculum design and development at a variety of levels and scales)
- Demonstrated knowledge of industry or experience of work-integrated learning (desirable)
