Research Assistant (Level 3) – School of Computer Science
Position Summary
The School of Computer Science is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant (Level 3) to provide administrative and research support for academic projects. Working under the guidance of senior researchers, you will assist with data management, information collection, document preparation, and general project coordination to support the successful delivery of research activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter, organise and maintain research data and records.
- Collect and compile research information from a range of sources.
- Review and format research data, identifying and correcting errors where required.
- Assist with the preparation and formatting of research articles, reports and other documentation.
- Undertake routine research support tasks in accordance with established methodologies and project requirements.
- Coordinate meetings, book venues, and assist with project administration and follow-up actions.
- Comply with University health, safety and wellbeing policies and procedures.
Skills and Experience
-
Demonstrated experience with Computer Vision, Deep Learning and Programming using different languages including Python and C/C++.

Experience using a range of computer systems and software applications.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to accurately manage data and documentation.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a research team and follow established processes.
- Interest in supporting research within a computer science or technology-focused environment.
This role is well suited to candidates seeking experience in a research environment while contributing to innovative projects within the School of Computer Science.
