About UNSW Rural

UNSW Rural delivers our full six-year undergraduate medical program at principal teaching campuses in Port Macquarie and Wagga Wagga, with students also learning across our distributed rural clinical campuses in Albury, Coffs Harbour and Griffith.

Every rural doctor begins as a student, and our local clinicians play a vital role in shaping the doctors they become. Learning at rural campuses, our students care for local patients, learn from practising clinicians and develop connections with the communities in which they train. Delivered primarily face-to-face, our rural medical program gives clinicians the opportunity to share their experience, inspire the next generation of doctors and contribute directly to the future rural medical workforce.

For more than 25 years, UNSW has partnered with the Australian Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing through the Rural Health Multidisciplinary Training Program, recognising the lasting value of investment in rural medical education for rural and regional communities.

Local students. Local doctors. Stronger communities. #LI-FM1
