Why Your Role Matters:
The Administration and Project Officer is a pivotal member of the School's professional team, providing executive administration, project coordination and operational support during the establishment of Australia's newest School of Public Policy & Government.

Working closely with the Executive Director and School Business Manager, you'll help coordinate strategic initiatives, governance activities, stakeholder engagement and day-to-day operations while contributing to the systems and processes that will underpin the School's long-term success.

The role reports to the Institute Business Manager and works closely with the Executive Director.

 

Accountabilities:

The role supports the successful delivery of the School's priorities through executive administration, project coordination, governance support, stakeholder engagement, event coordination and operational activities. Working across a broad range of initiatives, you'll help ensure the efficient operation of the School while contributing to strategic projects and continuous improvement.

 

Who You Are (skills and experience): 

At Level 5:

• Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience.

• Demonstrated experience providing executive, operational and project coordination support in a complex organisational environment.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail and ability to prepare professional documentation and correspondence.

• Strong organisational and time management skills, with demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines using initiative, sound judgement and discretion.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a dynamic and evolving environment while contributing collaboratively within a team.

• Experience supporting projects, governance processes, events, partnerships or strategic initiatives.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience working with a range of organisational systems and administrative processes.

At level 6 (in addition to the above):

• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.

• Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple priorities and manage competing demands within complex projects and operational environments.

• Project experience, with an understanding of the project life cycle and development of project plans, objectives and documentation.
