Administrative Officer - The Kirby Institute
- Employment Type: Full - time (35 hours a week)
- Duration: 2 years Fixed Term contract
- Remuneration: $103,866 base, plus 17% superannuation and leave loading
- Work rights required: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Candidates must hold full rights to work in Australia to be considered for this position.
- Location: Hybrid, Kensington, Sydney. Minimum 3 days per week onsite.

Details of the role
An Administrative Officer plays a key role in coordinating and managing the general administration within the Surveillance and Evaluation Research Program (SERP) and Sexual Health Program (SHP).

The role reports to Senior Administrative Officer and has no direct reports.
Some key skills required:
- Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training, and experience.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, and the ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
- Highly advanced interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience providing effective customer service and support to clients at all levels.
- Experience using financial, travel, procurement, and other on-line systems.
- Coordinate and manage a broad range of administration practices and reporting systems in SERP/SHP and/or within the projects of these programs.
- Act as the primary contact for key internal and external stakeholders, maintaining effective channels of communication, analysing requests, prioritising correspondence as well as dealing with urgent and often sensitive matters.
- Provide support in the organisation of events such as seminars, webinars, workshops, planning days, conferences and project or staff meetings.
