Join the team driving procedures and training programs that support a culture of continuous improvement and best practice in P&C Quality and Compliance.
As Quality and Compliance Officer (P&C) you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the ongoing compliance of the University’s P&C systems and processes. Brining your ability to review and analyse insights from reports and data, you will collaborate with stakeholders across Divisions and Faculties to flag compliance risks and proactively identify opportunities for mitigation.

Reporting to the Quality and Compliance Specialist, this role offers further support to the delivery of strategies across key regulations and legislation.

Your day-to-day focus will be:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for compliance-related queries, managing the Quality and Compliance Team inbox and triaging complex issues as required.
  • Monitoring and responding to compliance risks identified through P&C reports and process controls, recommending improvements where appropriate.
  • Analyse and report insights from data, audits, claims and testing, producing clear findings and recommendations for stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the review and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, and guidelines in line with UNSW governance processes and regulatory obligations.
  • Coordinate and deliver training modules (face-to-face and online) to enhance compliance knowledge across the University.

Who You Are: You’re a detail-oriented, data-savvy HR professional who uses HR metrics and systems expertise (including PowerBI) to deliver accurate advice, solve problems independently, and build strong stakeholder relationships in a fast-paced environment.

You will hold the following skills and experience:

  • Tertiary qualification with relevant experience and/or an equivalent level of knowledge.
  • Proven experience in analysing and providing advice based on data and HR metrics, in line with business needs.
  • Advanced level of computer literacy with excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications, PowerBI, HR systems and databases, including demonstrated ability to work with information systems and databases and ability to learn and implement new systems.
  • Proven ability to work independently to identify, analyse and solve operational problems to provide accurate and appropriate outcomes.
  • Excellent attention to detail, including time management and organisational skills with a proven ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines and to work under pressure to deliver outcomes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, partners and stakeholders both internal and external.
