Why Your Role Matters:
Under the direction of the School Manager, you will provide admin support within the school administration office to ensure effective delivery of the teaching and research activities of the school. The Administrative Support Officer works closely with Deputy Head of Schools and plays a key role in the establishment, maintenance and improvement of our school processes. In this key role, you will need to be proactive and use your problem-solving skills in order to contribute to team initiatives and promote productive working relationships with Faculty and University colleagues, Defence and industry stakeholders, visitors, and students.

 

Who You Are (skills and experience): 

  • • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent expertise gained through a combination of education, training and practical experience.
  • • Strong administrative capability with the confidence to consult, liaise and build effective relationships with colleagues and diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and moderately complex tasks with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in a fast‑paced environment.
  • • Demonstrated initiative in developing, improving and implementing procedures, guidelines and processes, working both independently and collaboratively while escalating issues appropriately.
  • • Experience contributing to and coordinating projects, supported by high‑level data gathering, analysis and reporting skills, including the ability to interpret and apply policies and systems.
  • • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to negotiate, influence and engage respectfully with people from varied backgrounds on both technical and non‑technical matters, supported by proficiency across contemporary digital tools and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
