- Remuneration: Academic Level B/C $127K- $178K (based on experience) + 17% super+ annual leave loading

Position Summary
The Lecturer/Senior Lecturer (Education Focused) will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching while supporting curriculum transformation within the School of Health Sciences. The position will work closely with the Director of Teaching to contribute to major initiatives, including programmatic assessment and the transition to a hexa-semester calendar, helping to enhance the student learning experience and support the School’s strategic priorities.
The role will involve designing and delivering engaging, evidence-based teaching, developing learning activities and assessments, and supporting student progression across undergraduate and postgraduate programs. It will also include course coordination and academic quality assurance, maintaining professional and industry engagement, and contributing to the broader education-focused community at UNSW.
At Senior Lecturer level, the role will provide leadership in learning and teaching, contributes to curriculum development and review, and collaborates across the University to share best practice and mentor colleagues, driving continuous improvement and educational excellence. excellence.
Some key skills required:
At Level B
- A PhD in health sciences or related health/education field, and/or relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching and learning design using a range of pedagogical approaches, development and delivery of courses and programs, at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence and fostering this in others.
- Evidence of professional development of teaching practice in self and others with the ability to advance and lead an inclusive culture of excellence in learning and teaching.
- Evidence of highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Evidence of ability to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds and support student equity diversity and inclusion initiatives.
At Level C (in addition to the above)
- Demonstrated success in initiating curriculum development and improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with the profession and industry.
- Demonstrated experience in change management in an academic setting.
