The Senior Functional Business Analyst (internally called Senior Business Systems Specialist -Projects) plays a key role in delivering student systems transformation and enhancement initiatives. You’ll lead the analysis, design, and configuration of systems that support the student lifecycle—helping improve both student and staff experiences.
Working across the project lifecycle, you’ll collaborate with project managers, developers, testers, and business stakeholders to turn strategic goals into practical, high-quality solutions. You’ll also bring valuable expertise in (ideally) student administration and system integration to ensure outcomes are fit-for-purpose and future-focused.
The role reports to the Manager, Student Systems (Projects) and may have a direct report. Responsibilities include:

Elicit, analyse, and document business requirements, translating them into functional specifications, data models, and system configurations that meet user and compliance needs

Configure, or support configuration of, student systems, ensuring changes are tested, documented, and aligned with requirements

Maintain knowledge of relevant technologies, policies, and regulatory requirements, and support continuous improvement and mentoring of junior business analysts

Experience with student systems (e.g. Technology One, Callista, SITS, Ellucian Banner) and/or integrations, reporting, or data frameworks would be ideal
This is a full-time, hybrid role working Monday to Friday. The position is full time permanent. Candidates will need to have valid working rights – this role is not available for sponsorship.
