  • Location:  Kensington NSW (2-3 days campus based each week)

The Marketing & Digital Experience (M&DX) portfolio drives UNSW’s global brand reputation, distinctiveness, and impact, supporting the University’s Progress for All strategy. 

As Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Digital Experience, you will provide high level strategic and dedicated executive support and advice to the Executive Director, Marketing & Digital Experience, and key stakeholders. You will contribute to priority strategic and operational initiatives across the portfolio, supporting the delivery of M&DX objectives. 

You will lead and manage key projects end to end, ensuring strong stakeholder engagement, timely delivery, and effective governance. The role provides trusted advice on strategy, operations, and performance, while driving continuous improvement and alignment with University strategy and frameworks. 

About You:   

As a sharp, critical thinking, you are adept at working in a fast-paced environment and comfortable moving between priorities and manage multiple activities. You will bring proven experience developing and delivering impactful marketing strategies and initiatives, along with strong commercial acumen and project management capability. Highly polished communication and stakeholder skills are essential, along with clear, effective writing and high attention to detail.  

To apply you must have: 

  • Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience.  

  • Proven skills and experience in strategic implementation, resource planning goal setting and project management.  

  • Demonstrated success designing and delivering Marketing strategies, programs and initiatives across a complex matrix organisational environment 

  • Ability to lead, motivate and train team members, to establish priorities and manage competing deadlines for self and others.  

  • Excellent consultation, influencing and negotiation skills and proven experience operating at a senior executive level, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.  

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail for deliverables produced.  

  • High level organisational skills with proven ability to deal with multiple tasks, establish priorities and meet deadlines.  

  • Advanced level of computer literacy, working with a range of computer systems and applications.
