The Marketing & Digital Experience portfolio plays a key role in strengthening UNSW’s global brand and supporting the university’s Progress for All strategy. With a strong focus on audience-led marketing and digital innovation, the team delivers impactful campaigns that connect UNSW with learners, industry, government and the broader community.
As Marketing Lead (Societal Impact), you will drive brand and marketing initiatives that elevate UNSW’s societal impact story across B2C and B2B audiences. You will lead end-to-end campaigns across owned, paid and earned channels, ensuring clear, compelling messaging that differentiates UNSW in a competitive global landscape.
This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, giving you the opportunity to shape brand direction while executing high-impact marketing programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and delivery of integrated marketing campaigns that build brand awareness, engagement and demand across key audiences.
- Drive audience-led messaging and content across the full marketing funnel, including digital channels, SEO and campaign optimisation.
- Manage brand compliance, including guidelines, approvals and quality assurance across all marketing activity.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across UNSW to align marketing strategy with university priorities and initiatives.
- Manage creative and media agencies to deliver high-quality campaigns and optimise performance.
- Use data and insights to evaluate performance, communicate outcomes and inform future strategy.
- Oversee content development, ensuring consistency, quality and alignment with brand positioning.
- Manage budgets, timelines and campaign delivery to ensure effective and efficient execution.
About You:
You are a strategic and commercially minded marketing professional who enjoys working across both big-picture planning and hands-on execution. You are confident managing multiple campaigns, working with stakeholders and agencies, and using data to drive decisions.
You bring:
- Significant experience in brand and marketing, ideally within complex or knowledge-based organisations such as education or professional services.
- Strong digital marketing capability, including paid and organic channels, SEO and marketing automation.
- Experience working with enterprise marketing platforms such as Adobe or similar.
- Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to craft compelling messaging.
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills across a matrix environment.
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced setting.
