Employment type:   Fixed-term contract, full-time (35 hours per week)
Duration: 12 months

Remuneration: Broadband 6/7. Level 6 from $103,866, Level 7 from $113,926 plus leave loading & 17% super.
Location: UNSW Canberra, City Campus

LAUNCH  is UNSW Canberra’s innovation hub that supports research partners in the defence and security sector. Launch aims to bridge industry, academia and government by fostering collaboration and innovation. Launch is central to the new UNSW Canberra City campus and the future defence and security precinct, driving research commercialisation.

 

Accountabilities:

This is a fresh and exciting role which entails providing project management, reporting and analytical support, developing communications, building key internal and external relationships, developing and consulting on key programs and projects. The Senior Project Officer will support projects to drive initiatives and will establish and maintain productive working relationships across UNSW Canberra City.

 

Who You Are (skills and experience): 

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience, with a proven track record delivering outcomes in complex, fast-paced environments
  • Advanced communication and presentation skills, with the ability to produce high-quality, evidence-based reports and influence decision-making
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to build relationships, negotiate, and influence at all levels
  • Proven ability to lead and deliver projects end-to-end, including planning, documentation, and alignment to strategic objectives
  • Highly developed organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver under pressure using sound judgement
  • Demonstrated capability to identify needs, drive initiatives, and lead project processes to achieve impactful outcomes
  • Advanced digital proficiency across Microsoft 365 and project platforms (e.g. SharePoint, Smartsheet), including system use and administration
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on accuracy, continuous improvement, and delivering high-quality results
